"Smussla inte undan bevisen på Katynmassakern"

Långt om länge tvangs sovjetregimens ryska
arvtagare erkänna att det var NKVD/KGB, som
(Forskningens officiella siffra idag är 21 857 döda)
Ett tvehågset erkännande kom under Gorbatjovs tid.
Under dagens Putinokrati försöker Ryssland återigen
krypa undan sitt ansvar för massakrarna. Arkiv-
material är inte längre tillgängligt för forskare; ämnet
mörkas i skolundervisningen; inte en enda mördare
har ställts inför rätta.....
Polens tidigare utrikesminister Adam Rotfeld
skräder inte orden om Rysslands agerande:
"Former Polish foreign secretary Adam Rotfeld, a
member of a bilateral history commission, urged
Moscow today to be more open about the perpe-
trators of the 1940 murder of more than 20,000
Polish military and police officers, know as the
Katyn massacre, Polish Radio reports. Rotfeld
said that Katyn was poisoning relations between
Russia and Poland and urged the Russian government
to open files concerning the case so the joint Polish-
Russian historical commission could do its work.

Rotfeld was reacting to a decision taken on October
24 by the Khamovniki District Court of Moscow
not to exonerate Polish prisoners of war who
were murdered by Soviet NVKD, the forerunner
of the KGB,during WW II. Families of the Polish
officers are appealing to the higher court in
Moscow to overturn the decision, radio adds.
Earlier in October, the Municipal Court in Moscow
rejected an appeal by the Russian historical and
civil rights NGO, the Memorial Society, to disclose
reasons behind a decision to discontinue the
investigation into the killings, Polish Radio marks.

The Russian Academy of Qualification
Improvement and Professional Retraining of
Education Employees released new guidelines
this term for teachers regarding the history syllabus
in schools. From now on, Russian pupils will be
informed that the Polish officers were indeed killed
by the NKVD in Katyn in 1940, but the act was fully
justified and “politically suitable”, reported the pro-
government daily newspaper Vremya Novostei.
**
The Soviet Union initially accused Germany of
executing the Polish prisoners. However, in 1990
Mikhail Gorbachev officially admitted that Soviet
secret police were responsible for the massacre."

Även bland svenska "intellektuella"
Så sent som 1997 försökte svenska
kommunister "bevisa" att det inte
förekommit någon sovjetisk massaker.
