GAZA (Reuters) – An Israeli naval patrol

killed at least four Palestinian militants

in diving gear off the Gaza coast on Monday,

Hamas security officials and the Israeli army

said.
"An Israeli naval patrol spotted a boat with

four men in diving suits on their way to carry

out a terror attack and fired at them," an

Israeli army spokesman said, adding that the

patrol had confirmed hitting its targets.
The spokesman did not say what the army

thought was the intended objective of the

divers.
Hamas security sources said four bodies had

been found and a fifth man was missing and

presumed dead.

the organization “Viva Palestine”, she attempted
to smuggle forbidden electronic components into
the Gaza Strip.

Ken O’Keefe (Born 1969), an American and
British citizen, is a radical anti-Israel activist and
operative of the Hamas Terror organization. He
attempted to enter the Gaza Strip in order to
form and train a commando unit for the Palestinian
terror organization.
**
Hassan Iynasi (born 1982), a Turkish citizen and
activist in a Turkish charity organization, is known
of providing financial support to the Palestinian
Islamic Jihad Terror organization.
**
Hussein Urosh, a Turkish citizen and activist in
the IHH organization, was on his way to the Gaza
Strip in order to assist in smuggling Al-Qaeda
operatives via Turkey into the Strip.

Ahmad Umimon (born 1959), is a French citizen
of Moroccan origin, and an operative of the Hamas
Terrorist organization.

The world-famous Swedish story-teller

Henning Mankell, whose detective stories

have had great success also in Israel,

claims that an Israel soldier must have

stolen his socks when he was retained

by the IDF upon his forced arrival in

Ashdod on board one of the Ships to

Gaza vessels.

In a two-page spread in the large Swedish

daily Dagens Nyheter on Saturday June 5

he describes his ordeal written in the style

of one of his exciting criminal novels.

Towards the end he says that ”the myth

of the courageous and also infallible Israeli

soldier has been crushed. Now one can add

that they also are simple thieves”.

There may be at least three other

explanations why Mankell lost his socks.

Someone may have taken them as a souvenir.

What a conversation piece: the socks of

famous criminal writer Mankell. Although after

having been in use for six days, they might

have to be embedded behind glass or in plastics.

**

Another explanation is that the well-used

socks were taken away in the mistaken

belief that they were some chemical weapon.

**

A third explanation could be that one of the

female soldiers who met Mankell wanted to

wash them for him but then could not return

them to him before his forced departure

back to Stockholm.

He got a new pair by the Lufthansa stewardess.

Who knows who the villain was until the last

chapter?

Mankell makes the following remark upon

meeting a couple of girls among the soldiers:

“Maybe they are such who will escape to

Goa and get drugged when their military

service is over? It happens all the time.”

He also says that he considers halting

any further translations of his books into

Hebrew. How much has he earned so far

in royalties in the country that he despises

so openly?

Det irländska piratfartyget Rachel Corrie

uppbringades kl 05.50 i morse av israeliska

marinen. Det kommer, liksom övriga

islamistiska blockadbrytare, att eskorteras

till en israelisk hamn, varefter passagerarna

repatrieras till sina hemländer. Eventuellt

humanitär bistånd transporteras via Israel

och FN till Gaza tillsammans med de

vanliga dagliga hjälpsändningarna....

intressant inblick i mentaliteten ombord

på de islamistiska piratfartygen...

per radio att de seglat in i en blockerad zon

Katolsk biskop i Turkiet mördad av islamist

Den islamistiska regimen i Turkiet

utnyttjar nu de jihadistiska piraternas

Idag mördades den katolske biskopen

Luigi Padovese i Iskenderun. Padovese

var ordförande i turkiska biskops-

konferensen och katolsk vikarie i

Anatolien.

Biskop Padovese knivhöggs tidigt i morse

i sitt hem på väg till ett möte med Påven

på Cypern.

Polisen har gripit Murat Altun, en muslim

anställd som chaufför på biskopsämbetet,

som misstänkt gärningsman.

Samtidigt skyndar sig Erdoganregimen

att hävda att "mordet inte har någon

politisk bakgrund".

Det sa de om Santoromordet och

halalmordet också....

Biskop Padovese har flera gånger offentligt

varnat för hur den expanderande islamismen

hotar de kristna till livet i Turkiet.

I samband med den internationella islamistiska

kampanjen 2006 med anledning av Jyllands-

Postens karikatyrer mördades fader Andrea

Santoro i Trabzon medan fader Pierre

Brunissen knivhöggs i Samsun, även det

vid Svarta Havet.

Året efter knivhöggs fader Adriano Franchini

i staden Izmir, men klarade sig med skärsår

i magen. Samma år halalmördades tre

kristna, varav en tysk, i en kristen

bokhandel.

De morden - offren var bundna och fick

halsarna avskurna - fördömdes internationellt

och det ställdes frågor om hur religiösa

minoriteter i Turkiet kan skyddas. Svaret är

naturligtvis att regimen varken kan eller vill...

nyligen den första kartläggningen av jihadistiska

terrordåd och -försök i Västeuropa under de

senaste femton åren.

1994–2007: Planned, Prepared, and Executed
Terrorist Attacks

**

Since December 1994, Western Europe has

experienced increased levels of terrorism

perpetrated by militant Sunni Islamist

activists (gangs, groups, cells, and networks)

associated with or inspired by guerillas and

terrorist networks originating from the Muslim

world.

The militants belonged to the so-called salafi–

jihadi strand of Sunni Islamism, and

they referred to themselves as “mujahidin” or

“jihadis” [Holy Warriors].

Most of these terrorists were affiliated in one

way or another with the Al Qaeda

organization (founded in Peshawar in 1988)

and the global jihad doctrine propagated by

the organization’s leaders and ideologues.

Some of them were Al Qaeda members who

were supported and controlled by Al Qaeda,

and trained in the organization’s training

facilities in Qandahar, Khowst, and Jallalabad,

Afghanistan. Others were members of local

and regional jihadi groups from different parts

of the Muslim world with varying ties to Al Qaeda

and the global jihad. A number also seem to

have operated quite autonomously from jihadi

organizations, but were clearly inspired by Al

Qaeda’s ideas, strategies and tactics.

blev konstabel Sophia Bruun revet væk
fra os alle. Sophia sad som skytte i en
af patruljens Piranha køretøjer, da køre-

sprængladning, der dræbte Sophia på
stedet og sårede to andre.

Sophia', 'Bellis' eller 'Bruun'. Sophia blev
kaldt mange navne. Det gjorde hun, fordi
hun var den, hun var. En dejlig frisk og
udadvendt person, som mange nød
bekendtskab ved, og som mange var ven
med. Sophia kunne ofte findes i venners
lag på volleyballbanen, i styrketrænings-
lokalet, i kvindeteltet eller i samtale, grin

Sophia var en kvinde med et godt humør

vil huske hende med et skævt smil på

The Turkish organizers of the Gaza Strip-
bound flotilla that was boarded this morning
by Israeli commandos knew well in advance
that their vessels would never reach Israeli
waters.
That's because the organizers belong to a
nonprofit that was banned by the Israeli
government in July 2008 for its ties to
terrorism finance.
**
The Turkish IHH (Islan Haklary Ve Hurriyetleri
Vakfi in Turkish) was founded in 1992, and
reportedly popped up on the CIA's radar in
1996 for its radical Islamist leanings.
Like many other Islamist charities, the IHH
has a record of providing relief to areas where
disaster has struck in the Muslim world.
**
However, the organization is not a force for
good. The Turkish nonprofit belongs to a
Saudi-based umbrella organization known
to finance terrorism called the Union of Good
(Ittilaf al-Kheir in Arabic). Notably, the Union
is chaired by Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, who is
known best for his religious ruling that
encourages suicide attacks against Israeli
civilians. According to one report, Qardawi
personally transferred millions of dollars to
the Union in an effort to provide financial
support to Hamas.
**
In 2008, the Israelis banned IHH, along with
35 other Islamist charities worldwide, for its
ties to the Union of Good. This was a follow-
on designation; Israelis first blocked the Union
of Good from operating in the West Bank and
Gaza in 2002.
**
Interestingly, the Union of Good may not only
be tied to Hamas. Included in the Israeli list of
36 designees was the International Islamic Relief
Organization (IIRO). In 2006, both the U.S.
government and the United Nations designated
the IIRO branch offices in Indonesia and the
Philippines for financing al Qaeda.
French magistrate Jean-Louis Brougiere also
testified that IHH had an "important role" in Ahmed
Ressam's failed "millennium plot" to bomb the
Los Angeles airport in late 1999.

The U.S. government, it should be noted, also
views the Union of Good as a terrorist organization.
On November 12, 2008, a press release from the
U.S. Treasury announced the umbrella group's
leaders as Specially Designated Global Terrorists
(SDGT), stating that the group was "created by
Hamas leadership to transfer funds to the
terrorist organization."
**
"Terrorist groups such as Hamas continue
to exploit charities to radicalize vulnerable
communities and cultivate support for
their violent activities," said Treasury
Undersecretary Stuart Levey.
**
According to Treasury, Hamas's leadership
actually created the Union of Good in 2000
—just after the launch of the armed campaign
against Israel—as a means to transfer funds
to Hamas. At the time of designation in 2008,
the Treasury believed that the Union of Good
was transferring "tens of millions of dollars a
year" to Hamas-controlled entities in the
West Bank and Gaza Strip.
**
As the Treasury release explained, "The Union
of Good acts as a broker for Hamas by
facilitating financial transfers between a web
of charitable organizations—including several
organizations previously designated… for
providing support to Hamas—and Hamas-
controlled organizations in the West Bank
and Gaza.
The primary purpose of this activity is to
strengthen Hamas' political and military
position in the West Bank and Gaza."

It gets worse. The Treasury, drawing from
declassified documents, stated unequivocally
that the Union of Good "compensated Hamas
terrorists by providing payments to the families
of suicide bombers. One of [the charities], the
Al-Salah Society, previously identified as a key
support node for Hamas, was designated in
August 2007... The Society employed a number
of members of the Hamas military wing and
supported Hamas-affiliated combatants during
the first Intifada."
**
Then there's the leadership. Apart from the
aforementioned Qardawi, Union of Good's
top officials include Hamas members, as
well as Yemeni national Abd al-Majid al-
Zindani, who was designated by the U.S.
Treasury as a terrorist in 2004 for providing
support to al Qaeda.
**
Thus, the convoy of ships allegedly trying
to bring aid to the Gaza Strip could never
be characterized as a "peace flotilla."
With ties to Hamas and other dangerous
groups, the IHH can only be described as a
dangerous organization. Its members only
underscored this fact when they attacked
Israeli naval personnel with iron bars and
knives, ultimately leading to the regrettable
deaths this morning on the Mediterranean Sea.
