Terrorkonvertit och polis planerade Olympiadbomb ?

Konvertiten Richard Dart, tidigare

väktare på bl a BBC, tycks vara ledare

för det islamistiska terrorgäng som börj-

ade nystas upp i torsdags i London.

Bland de fem övriga gripna finns

Jahangir Alom, en f d "community

officer" hos Londonpolisen och hans

två bröder.

Richard Dart använder numera namnet

Salahuddin Al Britani sedan han konverterats
av den ledande salafistiske imamen Anjem
Choudary.

En trettioårig kvinna och en tjugoettårig man

som greps i västra London har ännu inte

identifierats.

Bröderna Alom bodde så nära Olympia-

stadion att de hade utsikt över den.

Den stora frågan nu är givetvis:

Planerade islamisterna attentat mot

Olympiaden ?

Polisen svarar försiktigt att de hittills inte

funnit bevis för terrorplanering riktad mot

OS-anläggningana.

Däremot tänkte ligan indirekt utnyttja OS genom

att begå bombdåd i Londonområdet medan hela

världens uppmärksamhet är riktad mot staden.

ytterligare en terrorhärva i England:

"Seven men have been arrested on
suspicion of terror offences after
firearms and other weapons were found
 "hidden" in a car, police said today.
West Midlands Police said one man from West
Yorkshire  and six from the West Midlands
were being questioned on suspicion of the
commission,  preparation or instigation
of acts of terrorism following a series
of arrests this week.

The arrests followed the routine stopping of a
vehicle on the M1 Motorway last Saturday after
traffic police suspected the driver had no insurance.

The vehicle was impounded and the driver and
his passenger were released.

However when officers later searched the
vehicle they discovered a cache of
 weapons, including firearms,
hidden inside.

The find sparked a major counter-terror
operation and officers quickly moved
to trace the driver and passenger."
