Salafist bränner shiamoské, mördar imam i Bryssel

Den shiitiska Riadmoskén nära Central-

stationen i Bryssel brändes ned under

måndagsnatten. Imamen Abdallah

Dadou omkom när han försökte släcka

branden. Ytterligare en församlings-
medlem ska vara allvarligt skadad.

Gärningsmannen är en salafist som an-

tände moskén med bensin. Han greps

på platsen och skrek salafistiska slag-

ord med anknytning till sunniterrorn i

Syrien. Han var beväpnad med en
yxa och molotovcocktails.
Shiamoskén uppges ha utsatts för
hotelser den senaste tiden från sunni-
extremister.

the suspect as he lacked identity papers,

but authorities said the man described

himself as a Muslim born in 1978.

Authorities are investigating his motives

and whether he had accomplices.

An official at the mosque, Azzedine

Laghmich, told AFP the attacker was

"a Salafist" who sprayed petrol inside

the mosque before setting it alight

and shouting Sunni slogans on his

way out - cries related to the

conflict in Syria.

"All the eyewitness accounts said

so," Laghmich said"

uppgett tre olika identiteter...
Polisen har dock konstaterat att
ingen av dem stämmer och att
mannen vistas illegalt i Belgien.
Han greps av församlings-
medlemmar i moskén sedan han
hotat dem med yxa och kniv.

Bara 100 meter därifrån ligger den
stora salafistiska Assounamoskéen,
som har nära kontakter med extremisterna
i Sharia4Belgium, den belgiska avläggaren
av Anjem Choudarys rörelse.

Flera tidningar drar paralleller med
mordet på imam Abdullah el-Ahdi
i Stora Moskéen i Bryssel som
begicks 1989.
De tycks dock ha glömt att
imam el-Ahdi mördades av den
islamistiske seriemördaren
Abdelkader Belliraj, som mördade
två judar och flera moderata muslimer.
Belliraj avtjänar sedan 2009 livstids
fängelse i Marocko.

Police officers in the Brussels

municipality of Sint-Joost-ten-

Node were attacked by the husband

of a woman that refused to remove

her burqa.

The incident happened on Wednesday

after a patrol from the Brussels-

North Local Police Service spotted

the woman wearing a burqa on the

Liedekerkestraat at around 12:35pm.

 The wearing of burqas and other garments

that cover the face has been illegal

since legislation on the issue was

passed by the Federal Parliament earlier

this year.

The police officers asked the woman to

remove the part of the burqa that covered

her face so that they could identify her.

She refused and was asked a second time

to show her face.

This met with a furious response from her

husband who proceeded to attack the police

officers.

One officer was injured in the attack and

will be off work for three days.

Police Commissioner Roland Thiébaut told

the Brussels regional news website

brusselnieuws.be that “Our inspectors

wanted to identify her to enable them to

draft a crime report.”

“She refused and her husband became

aggressive. He said that he would kill

anyone that touched his wife. He struck

one of the inspectors. The police officer

is now unable to work for three days. “

The man was detained and his case is now

in the hands of the judicial authorities.

The woman left the scene without removing

her burqa.

However, the police have been able to

identify the woman and have compiled a crime

report for the judicial authorities.

Al Qaedaliga sprängd i Belgien

Efter ett stort antal husrannsakningar i Brussels

och Liege greps under dagen 14 islamister med

terroranknytning.

Tre av dem hade förberett en självmordsbombning

i Belgien. Deras avskedsvideo har påträffats.

De gripna tycks ha kopplingar till nordafrikanska

Al Qaeda i Maghreb, som är starka i Benelux.

Bland de gripna har flera utbildats på AQ-terrorskolor

i Pakistan eller Afghanistan.

Hela ligan har nära koppling till AQ-ledaren Nizar

Trabelsi, som dömdes till 10 års fängelse 2002

sedan han planerat en bilbomb mot en NATO-bas

i Belgien.

Bland de gripna uppges vara den marockanska

islamisten Malika El Aroud (alias Oum Obeyda).

Hon är änka efter Dahmane Abd al-Sattar, en

av terroristerna som mördade anti-talibanledaren

Ahmad Shah Massoud i Afghanistan 2001. Hon anses

nu vara en av de ledande internetjihadisterna i Europa.
