shiagruppen Libanesiska Huset, som bl a arrangerat

bl a samlat in uppgifter om IDF:s baser.

Det är inte första gången Hizballah använder
araber med skandinaviska pass för spionage
eller terrorism. Oftast aktioner tillsammans
med Irans revolutionsgarde.

Arutz Sheva berättar:

A Swedish citizen of Lebanese descent was arrested after a joint investigation from the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) and the Lahav 433 anti-fraud unity last month, it was cleared for publication Sunday, in light of concerns that the citizen may have been working with Hezbollah.
Hassan Khalil Hizran, 55, was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport upon arrival in Israel. In his interrogation, he admitted recruiting for Hezbollah and agreeing to cooperate with them.

On Sunday morning, the Central District Court filed an indictment against Hizran for passing information, contact with a foreign agent and property transactions with a terrorist organization.

In 2009, Hizran and his wife and children visited family in Lebanon.
During his visit, he was offered to meet with Hezbollah officials; he agreed. Hizran was then told in several clandestine meetings with Hezbollah representatives that the group aims to recruit Palestinian Arabs living in Europe and other foreign citizens, so that they could take advantage of their access to Israel and provide intelligence to Hezbollah.

In 2011 and 2013 Hizran made more visits to Lebanon to meet with Hezbollah. He was asked to recruit Israeli citizens, particularly those with ties to Jews, or have access to military personnel, security personnel or government officials.

In addition, he was asked to gather information on the IDF, including weapons, tanks, and military bases. The suspect was questioned by Hezbollah about behavior at Ben Gurion Airport and the entry process: security arrangements, passport control and so on.

For his services, Hizran received $2,300 in 2009 and $800 in 2011. Hizran also provided information about the association called "The House of the Lebanese", which operates in Malmö, Sweden.

The Shin Bet noted that association members are Shi'ite Muslims engaged in social and cultural activities - including keeping a close eye on Hezbollah activities.

The ISA emphasized that "the operation against Hizran proves the attractiveness Hezbollah sees in recruiting foreign citizens with access to Lebanon and Israel."

As the Islamic militant group ISIS continues to entrench itself in Syria and Iraq, and instigate terrorist attacks around the world, concerns about Islamic extremism are growing in the West and in countries with significant Muslim populations. Since 2011, the percentage saying they are very concerned about Islamic extremism in their country has increased 38 percentage points in France, 29 points in Spain, 21 points in the United Kingdom, 20 points in Germany and 17 points in the United States.
Concerns are also up significantly in Nigeria (+18), the Palestinian territories (+16), Lebanon (+12), Pakistan (+9) and Turkey (+8) since 2013, before ISIS became widely known.

Worries about extremism are higher across the Western countries surveyed than they are in the Muslim countries surveyed. Overall, a median of 52% across nine Western nations are very concerned about Islamic extremism. Across the 10 countries with Muslim populations of around half or more (including Middle Eastern, Asian and African nations), the median who are very concerned is 42%. Nevertheless, roughly half or more of people across all the countries surveyed say they are at least somewhat concerned about Islamic extremism in their country.
People in Israel (37% very concerned) and Russia (23%) are less concerned about extremism than those in many of the other countries surveyed. But this has not always been the case in Russia, where great concern about extremism is down 12 percentage points since 2011 and 29 points since 2005, when the survey was fielded just months after 334 hostages died in a school in Beslan that was taken over by Chechen rebels.
In European countries, older people, women and those on the right of the ideological spectrum are more concerned about Islamic extremism than the young, men and those on the left. In the U.S., these demographic differences also extend to political party and religion. Republicans and Americans who say religion is important are more likely to be concerned about Islamic extremism than are Democrats and independents, and those who say religion is not important to their daily lives.
Additionally, general concern about extremism in these countries is closely associated with worries about the international reach of ISIS. In 20 of the 21 the countries surveyed, people who are very concerned about the ISIS threat in Iraq and Syria are significantly more worried about the extremist threat in general. (For more on global views of ISIS as an international concern, see here).
These are among the main findings of a new Pew Research Center survey, conducted in 21 nations among 21,235 respondents from April 5 to May 21, 2015.

Concerns about Extremism High in France and Spain

Concern about Extremism Rising in West, but Falling in Russia

Across the countries surveyed, worries about extremism have risen the most in France. In the wake of the Charlie Hebdo massacre, two-thirds in France say they are very concerned about Islamic extremism in their country. This is up from 29% in 2011, the last time this question was asked there.
Concern is also high in Spain, where 61% are very worried about the extremist threat.
Roughly half in the U.S. (53%), Italy (53%) and UK (52%) are very apprehensive about extremism in their countries. Among Americans and Brits, this represents around a 20-percentage-point increase in concern since 2011. Meanwhile, 46% of Germans are very concerned, up 20 points from 2011.
Australians, though a world away from the Islamic State’s territory, have also experienced a terrorist attack in the past year, when a hostage standoff in Sydney ended in the death of three people, including the gunman. Roughly half in Australia (48%) are very concerned about Islamic extremism in their country.
Only a third of Canadians are very worried about the extremist threat in Canada, despite the 2014 attack at the Canadian National War Memorial in Ottawa.
In Russia, just 23% are very concerned about extremism. This is down 12 points since 2011 and 29 points from 2005. Similarly, in Poland, only 22% are very concerned about the threat of Islamic extremism.

Older and Conservative Europeans Worried about Islamic Threat

Across all the European countries surveyed, as well as in Australia, Canada and Russia, older people are more concerned than younger generations about the threat of Islamic extremism. For example, a majority of Germans ages 50 and older are very concerned about extremism in their country (56%), while only 22% of those ages 18-29 concur. Large age gaps are also found in the UK (older are +31 points higher), Australia (+27), Canada (+26), Spain (+23) and France (+20).

Women are more concerned than men about Islamic extremism in many of the Western countries surveyed. Two-thirds of Spanish women are very concerned about the extremist threat, while only 54% of men say the same. A similar gap appears in Italy (women are +13 points higher), and significant differences by gender are also found in France (+9), Germany (+8), Australia (+7) and Canada (+6).

Enligt en artikel i New York Times nyligen
har fler "britter"
anslutit sig till Kalifatets jihadister än som
tagit värvning i brittiska armén...

"UK authorities are becoming increasingly concerned over the growing influence of ISIS and other jihadist groups. According to the New York Times, more British Muslims have joined ISIS in Syria than have joined the UK's armed forces.

Experts have given a number of different reasons for Islamism's popularity among youths. Many point to a combination of factors involving both British society and the foreign pull.
Most of the British jihadists are the children of immigrants. Their parents came to Europe in order to find a more comfortable and successful lifestyle, and still often look positively on Europe in comparison to memories of their home countries.

However, their children grow up only knowing life in the West. They tend to feel alienated from the traditional British culture and lifestyle. As a result they see themselves as Muslims first, and secondly as British Citizens.

At the same time, ISIS has been carrying out an aggressive marketing campaigns aimed at younger audiences. The group advertises itself as a pure Muslim theocracy, while portraying the West as corrupt and hypocritical.
Raffaello Pantucci, the director of international security studies at the Royal United Services Institute, sums up the group's appeal as providing a sense of belonging that many British Muslims feel they lack: "If you’re scrambling for your identity, ISIS is the bright flame to follow."

"brittiska" jihadister hittills dött i Kalifatet.

Uppskattningsvis 40 jihadister från Sverige har
bitit i gräset ...

***
Liksom tidigare är det totala antalet euro-jihadister
osäkert och sannolikt kraftigt underdrivet av
myndigheterna.

"It was a remarkably frank admission for a European official. What was surprising was not so much that EU Justice Commissioner Vĕra Jourová told the French daily Le Figaro that the number of Europeans to have gone to Syria to partake in jihad could be as high as 6000. This number was higher than that hitherto acknowledged by EU officialdom, but not dramatically so. What was surprising was that Jourová admitted that she and her colleagues suspect that even this figure “severely underestimates” the real number of euro-jihadists.
(**)
So, how many Europeans have really joined the Syrian jihad? One does not need to go as far as a recently-leaked Spanish police report, which puts the number at as high as 100,000. (The low edge of the Spanish police estimate is 30,000.) But there is no reason to believe that the security services of other European nations – and, in particular, the French – are any more omniscient than their German colleagues. There must clearly be a substantial “unknown number” in their cases as well. However unwelcome this realization may be for European officials, credible estimates – as opposed to mere headcounts – of Europeans involved in the Syrian jihad must undoubtedly now be made not in the thousands, but in the tens-of-thousands."

Sex unga män greps under sammandrabbningen.

Two former detainees at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba were arrested by Belgian police in a counterterrorism operation targeting a recruiting network for al Qaeda in Syria.
They were arrested Wednesday night along with three others as they were about to break into a house to raise funds in the town of Hoboken, near Antwerp, a senior Belgian counterterrorism official told CNN.
“We have dismantled a serious recruiting network for Syria,” the official told CNN.

One of the former Guantanamo Bay detainees was Moussa Zemmouri, 37, a Moroccan national born in Antwerp, Belgian federal prosecutors announced Friday. The other was an Algerian identified as Soufiane A., who prosecutors believe spent time in Syria.
Both have been charged with participating in the activities of a terrorist group and all five have been charged with attempted armed robbery.

Zemmouri was released from Guantanamo in 2005 and authored a book “Innocent at Guantanamo” after returning to Belgium. His case was featured prominently by the UK Muslim prisoner advocacy group CAGE, which has long maintained that he has no links to terrorism.
According to a 2003 detainee assessment file posted by the WikiLeaks website, Zemmouri was transferred to U.S. custody after he was detained by Pakistani police when fleeing Afghanistan after the beginning of the U.S. bombing campaign in autumn 2001.
The document alleged he had trained in the al Qaeda-sponsored Derunta training camp in Khost, Afghanistan. It said “sensitive reporting also indicates that detainee is a high-ranking member of the Theological Commission of the Moroccan Islamic Fighting Group (MIFG).”

According to the Belgian official, Zemmouri was put under observation after his return to Belgium. Belgian security services suspect he provided theological encouragement to several former members of the al Qaeda affiliated MIFG who left to fight jihad in Syria after they completed prison sentences in Belgian jails.

Belgian officials know of the identity of more than 300 extremists who have traveled from Belgium to join jihadi groups in Syria.

Under ramadan förväntas alla rättroende svälta

"brott". De fick 70 piskrapp och korsfästes...

The Islamic State crucified, caged and whipped some 94 Syrians caught eating during the day in the month of Ramadan, according to The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Among the victims were five children and two older people, the Observatory learned from eyewitness accounts (Arabic link).
The punishments were meted out by Islamic State operatives in public streets and squares across the Halab, a-Raqqa and Deir-a-Zour regions of Syria.
In some cases the ‘criminals’ were placed in cages on the backs of trucks and paraded through the local areas.
The Observatory said the victims wore signs that either read “eating on Ramadan,” or “crucified for the day and 70 lashes for eating during Ramadan.”
ISIS members apparently encouraged children to mock and torment the prisoners. (Clarion Project)

One of Britain's most senior terror experts has warned that competition between jihadi groups is contributing towards a newly heightened threat against European Jews.

Peter Neumann, director of International Centre for the Study of the Radicalisation and Political Violence at King's College London said that a growing battle for influence between Al Qaeda and Daesh (sometimes known as Isis) "will be suffered by Jewish institutions here in Europe".

Mr Neumann argued that security services in Europe are "struggling to cope" and that "the threat we are facing is more severe than it's been in past 10 to 15 years".
Last Friday, Daesh carried out a wave of attacks around the world, including the massacre of 30 British holidaymakers in Tunisia.

The battle between the jihadi networks is having a direct impact on the terror threat in Europe, Mr Neumann said. "Al Qaeda still exists, they have supporters. As we found out in the case of Charlie Hebdo, they feel under pressure to show that they still exist and that Daesh is not the only game in town."

Anthony Glees, Director of the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies at the University of Buckingham, agreed that Jews were among the jihadis' main targets, and that the coming days will be especially dangerous after Daesh spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani said this week that Ramadan would be a "calamity for kuffars".

Mr Glees said: "I think that the Ramadan call was very significant and spells mortal danger for the weeks that lie ahead if there is not a heavy response now on the part of Western states towards Daesh.
"We know this from Osama bin Laden. His two fatwas at the end of the last century were very significant acts of mobilisation."

Nick Kaderbhai, a research fellow at ICSR, agreed that Jews remain near the top of the jihadi hit list. "Jews are an obvious target, a soft target.
An Islamist could call for an attack on a piece of infrastructure but in the end it's easier to go and firebomb a shul."

Mr Glees added that the reasons why Jews were in the firing line "go back 1,000 years, to the ridiculous radicalising stories that have risen about the birth of the State of Israel. Arabs have been fed on a series of falsehoods and half-truths - as well as truths - and that will inevitably put Jews at the top of a list of victims."

"Over the past three years, France has deported 40 foreign imams for "preaching hatred." A quarter of those have taken place since the January terror attacks in Paris, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said on Monday.

The minister vowed to clamp down on mosques and preachers inciting hatred after a suspected Islamist beheaded his boss during an attack on a gas factory last week, according to the Radio France International.

Any "foreign preacher of hate will be deported," said Cazeneuve, adding that several mosques were being investigated for inciting terrorism and if found to be doing so, "will be shut down."

Yassin Salhi, 35, on Sunday confessed during interrogation to killing his boss and pinning his head to a fence of the Air Products factory near the eastern city of Lyon.

The severed head was discovered flanked by two Islamic flags and it later emerged Salhi had sent a selfie of himself with the head to a number believed to belong to a French jihadist currently in Syria.

After the attack French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told French television, "We cannot lose this war because it's fundamentally a war of civilization. It's our society, our civilization that we are defending."

Sinai: Från terror till fullt krig

I Egypten högtidlighåller man just nu folkresningen
igen. Muslimska Brödraskapet har därför under
våren ökat antalet terrorangrepp mot just
turistmålen, ryggraden i landets ekonomi.
Pyramiderna i Giza, Karnaktemplet i Luxor,
basarerna i Kairo. Men tack vare den alerta
säkerhetstjänsten har den typen av attacker
snabbt kunnat stoppas.

I förrgår mördades landets
Riksåklagare med en bilbomb, nära 700 poliser,
soldater och General Security har mördats vid
attentat sedan 2013, huvudsakligen i Norra Sinai.

polisstationen i Sheikh Zuweid, medan man
minerade tillfartsvägarna till staden.
Fem av polisens checkpoints runt staden
anfölls och kan ha erövrats. Ett antal soldater
uppges ha tagits som gisslan.
Antalet stupade är osäkra. Enligt lokal sjuk-
hus kan minst femtio poliser ha dödats.
Terroristernas förluster  uppges vara betydligt
större.
Först sedan Egypten satt in flyg och attack-
helikoptrar kunde staden befrias.

Civilbefolkningen uppger att tungt beväpnade
terrängfordon med granatkastare och
luftvärnskanoner kommit över från Gaza och
anslutit sig till MB-terroristerna.
De uppges ha burit Kalifatets flaggor.

Samtidigt lyckades säkerhetstjänsten stoppa
ett större terrordåd i Kairo.
Vid en razzia eliminerades ett tiotal terrorister
med sprängämnen och automatvapen.
Gruppen leddes av en tidigare MB-parlaments-
ledamot.
