Kinesisk spionskandal skakar Australien

 

Just nu skakas Australien av en stor kinesisk spionskandal. 
En ung akademiker har hoppat av till australiska säkerhetstjänsten och bl a avslöjat intressanta fakta om hur Pekingregimen försöker infiltrera Australien (och andra grannländer) med inflytandeagenter. Liqiang har också överlämnat en lista med 17 sidor kinesiska agenter i Australien, Hongkong, Korea och Taiwan.

Australiska experter jämför avhoppet med de sovjetiska KGB-officerarna Petrovs avhopp och avslöjanden på 50-talet. Den gången väcktes politikerna abrupt till det kalla krigets verklighet. Vladimir och Jevdokia Petrov hade tidigare tjänstgjort på sovjetiska ambassaden i Stockholm och kunde därför avslöja en mängd sovjetiska agenter i Sverige... 

A Chinese intelligence defector has reportedly given the Australian government information about entire networks of Chinese undercover spies in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia, according to reports. The story of Wang “William” Liqiang, made headlines all over Australia during the weekend, culminating in an entire episode of 60 Minutes Australia about him airing on Sunday. The 26-year-old from China’s eastern Fujian province reportedly defected to Australia in October, while visiting his wife and newborn son, who live in Sydney. He is currently reported to be in a safe house belonging to the Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO).

Mr. Wang has provided the ASIO with a 17-page sworn statement, in which he details his work as an undercover intelligence officer. He is also said to have shared the identities of senior Chinese intelligence officers in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and to have explained how they organize and implement espionage operations on behalf of Bejing.

In a leading article published on Saturday, The Sydney Morning Herald referred to Mr. Wang as “the first Chinese operative to ever blow his cover” and claimed that he had given the ASIO “a trove of unprecedented inside intelligence” about Chinese espionage operations in Southeast Asia. The newspaper said that the defector had revealed details about entire networks of Chinese intelligence operatives in Taiwan and Hong Kong. He also reportedly provided identifying information about deep-cover Chinese intelligence networks in Australia.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, Australian media said yesterday that the ASIO was examining allegations that a Chinese espionage ring tried to recruit an Australian businessman of Chinese background and convince him to run for parliament. According to reports, the spy ring approached Nick Zhao, a successful luxury car dealer, and offered to fund his political campaign with nearly $700,000 (AUS$1 million) if he run as a candidate for the Liberal Party of Australia. Zhao reportedly told the ASIO about the incident last year, shortly before he was found dead in a Melbourne hotel room. His death remains under investigation.

i Sydney, halshugga några slumpvist utvalda

personer och svepa dem i Kalifatets flagga.

Samtidigt avslöjades i Norge att orsaken till

sommarens terrorlarm var jihadisternas långt

framskridna planer på att tränga in hos en lika

slumpvist utvald norsk familj och halshugga dem.

 

Detta är Kalifatets nya strategi:

Att injaga fruktan genom slumpmässig,

besinningslös terror, där halalslakt med

halshuggning är ett viktigt moment.

Lika viktigt är att filma dådet och snabbt

sprida filmen över världen.

 

Första gången strategin testades var i

Woolwich i London förra året, då en

ung engelsman halshöggs av två

islamister.

En månad senare försökte man

upprepa dådet i Paris.

 

 

Sedan dess har ju islamistiska hals-

huggningar nästan blivit vardagsmat

i medierna...

 

Kalifatets världsbild är enkel och helt

enligt koranen:

Världen består av Dar al-Harb, krigets hus,

där de otroende bor, och Dar al-Islam,

islams hus, där sharia råder..

Varje muslims plikt är att genom jihad,

 heligt krig, förvandla krigets hus till

Islams hus.

När nu de första två kalifaten

sedan 20-talet utropats finns åter

Dar al-Islam rent territoriellt i

Syrien/Irak respektive Nigeria.

Dessa måste nu enligt islam växa

tills de omfattar hela världen.

 

Självklart kommer Kalifatets strategi att

fortsätta tills jihadisterna eliminerats eller

omvänts...

Ett amerikanskt nyhetsbrev från statliga
myndigheter avsett för kommunala poliskårer
 går ut med en varning för jihadistiska terror-
planer  i USA.
Terrorister använder bl a Facebook och LinkedIn
för att kartlägga soldatfamiljer...
“In recent Twitter posts, foreign fighters in Syria have
encouraged Muslims in the West to target soldiers with
spontaneous attacks using small arms (i.e. knives and guns),”
the bulletin said.
The bulletin also cited an uptick in chatter on Internet
forums calling for attacks on Western military targets,
with many referring to Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hassan, who
killed 13 service members at the Texas Army base in
2009 in a case the Obama administration still labels as
an example of "workplace violence," and not terrorism.
Hasan recently announced from prison, where he is
awaiting execution, he wanted to join Islamic State.

Antisemitiska incidenter ökar med 31 %

Australien uppfattar vi kanske inte

som något centrum för judehat, men

likväl har antalet antisemitiska incidenter

där ökat med 31 % i år, rapporterar Your

Jewish News.

JEWS in Australia faced 517 incidents of

harassment or intimidation in the year to

September 30, a 31 per cent rise from the

year before, according to the Jewish community's

annual report on anti-Semitism.
"Put bluntly, in Australia this year, 10 times a

week, every week, Jewish Australians were

attacked or threatened," report author Jeremy

Jones said yesterday.
It is the 22nd year that Mr Jones, community

affairs director for the Australia/Israel & Jewish

Affairs Council, has produced the report, which

showed a 38 per cent increase over the average

of the previous 21 years but an 80 per cent drop

on the record tally (2009).

Between October 1, 2010, and September 30 this

year, there were 17 physical assaults or property

damage, 128 incidents of direct harassment and

intimidation, five threatening phone calls, 301

emails, 48 incidents of anti-Jewish graffiti, and 18

other incidents.

Mr Jones said the total did not include anti-Israel

incidents or those where motivation was in doubt.

While anti-Jewish violence had little public support,

anti-Semitic comments "find comfortable hosts on

the online sites of mainstream media outlets,

including government-owned", he said.

He said Australians needed to treat hate crimes

seriously. The property damage or injury might

be slight, but the impact on the victim and the

community might be significant.

The media should not allow comments online

that they would not print or broadcast.

"It is time mainstream media and others grew up.

The online world can no longer be regarded as

some sort of alternative reality," Mr Jones said.
"Just as most church groups have managed to

psychologically distance themselves from pseudo-

Christian racists, mainstream Muslims, leftists,

rightists and others need to identify racists as just

that — bigots undeserving of a place."

convert in Yemen.

to the jailing of Australian mother-of-
three Shyloh Giddins, 30, who
moved to Yemen after converting to
Islam. She is suspected of having links
to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
(AQAP).

Ms Giddins, who has lived with her
children Amina, 4, and Omar, 7, in
Yemen since 2006, was interviewed
by Yemen's feared National Security
Bureau on May 14 and arrested two
days later in the country's capital, Sanaa.
he is now being held at Sanaa's central
prison, and has been refused access both
to legal representation and her children
who had their passports confiscated and
remain under detention in a Sanaa
apartment.

Neither Ms Giddins, Mr Allawo nor the
Australian government has been told why
Ms Giddins is being held, but her arrest
comes in the middle of a crackdown on
foreigners suspected of being linked to a
local jihadi group, al-Qaeda in the Arabian
Peninsula - known as AQAP.
That group is suspected of being behind the
attempted bombing by Abdulmutallab of
the US-bound plane last year.

foreigners, including Americans, Britons
and an Australian woman, in connection
with an investigation into al-Qaida’s
increased activity in the country, security
officials said Wednesday.

The arrests were made after foreign
intelligence agencies provided lists of
names of people they wanted detained
or put under surveillance, the two
security officials said.
They would not discuss details about
most of those targeted — a group that
also included Frenchmen, Africans and
Asians — or specify how many they were…

The two Yemeni security officials said
some of the recently detained foreigners
are believed to be linked to the Nigerian
man suspected of attempting to blow up
a Detroit-bound airliner in December.
U.S. investigators say the Nigerian, Umar
Farouk Abdulmutallab, has told them
he was trained and instructed in the plot by
al-Qaida in Yemen.

Some of the detainees are also thought
to be connected to radical American-
Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is
believed to have inspired attacks on the
U.S. and is hiding in Yemen, said the
officials, who spoke on condition of
anonymity because they are not
permitted to brief journalists.

Every time a liberal democracy was targeted by jihadi

terror; from 9/11, Madrid's trains, London's subways,

Holland's Van Gogh assassination, to all other terror-

related arrests in France, Belgium, Canada, Germany,

Italy, and Denmark, a similar question was repeated

senselessly: "Why do they hate us?"

**

Unfortunately in all of these Western societies, the

political debate about the root causes and future of

jihadi violence failed to answer this seminal question.

Furthermore, a stunningly compromised expertise

failed its governments by dragging authorities into

chronic misinterpretation of what is happening and

what to do about it. One more time, the experiment

is repeating itself in Australia.

Here is why:

As in the United States, the United Kingdom, France,

and other Western democracies, law enforcement

and counterterrorism agencies have been efficient in

monitoring the threat, swift in responding and lucky in

uprooting networks planning terror. With the exceptions

of the first strikes of 2001 in New York, 2004 in Madrid

and 2005 in London, police and security teams have

been able to stop the plots before they are executed;

knock on wood so far. But these law enforcement heroes

are operating under the aegis of questionable government

strategies, or rather non-strategies, with dramatic consequences.

The latest arrests made in Melbourne, Australia, are another

example.

extremists might have recently obtained a fatwa,
or religious blessing, to carry out a terrorist attack
in Australia, raising the possibility that it could be
carried out within weeks.
The Australian understands police were concerned
that a Somali Australian who returned from the
war-torn country only three weeks ago might have
secretly obtained a fatwa from a sheik in Somalia,
although police were unable to confirm this through
their surveillance.

Australisk polis och säkerhetstjänst genomförde i natt

det hittills största tillslaget mot somaliska islamister.

En grupp med nära koppling till Al-Shabaab planerade

angripa den stora Holsworthybasen väster om Sydney.

Enligt uppgift skulle de somaliska islamisterna attackera

basen med automatvapen "to kill as many soldiers as

possible".

Över 400 poliser deltog i minst 19 razzior mot terroristerna

under natten. Hur många islamister som gripits är ännu okänt.
