Under Bosniens frihetskrig mot deserbiska kommunisterna dök det
oombedda upp ett par tusen arabiska
mujahedin. De utmärkte sig snart
genom mord, terror och halshuggningar
och blev lika impopulära som
kommunisterna.

Efter kriget ville de dessutom inte lämna
den nya staten. Genom skumma kontakter
skaffade sig de flesta bosniskt medborgarskap.
Sedan dess har de varit en ständig plåga
för bosnierna. De aggressiva islamisterna
är inte bara arbetsskygga och ofta inblandade
i allsköns kriminalitet, de är också en hotfullt
politisk lobbygrupp. För många blev droppen
när den wahabistiske shejken Jusuf Barcic
ockuperade en moské och terroriserade en
hel stad därifrån.

Nu har myndigheterna äntligen beslutat utvisa
syriern Imad al-Husini alias Abu Hamza
(inte att förväxla med den egyptiske islamistiske
imamen som länge härjade i London).
Många bosnier hoppas detta är inledningen på
en ordentlig utrensning i det politiskt-religiösa
wahabistiska träsket...

Dzevad Glijasevic, a Bosnian expert on terrorism,
told the daily Fokus that that there were still
1,200 former mujahadeen from Afro-Asian
countries in Bosnia, some of whom had up to
three different passports and identities.
Galijasevic, himself a Muslim, was the first post-
war mayor of the central town of Maglaj, where
he first came into conflict with the mujahadeen,
and has been exposing their activities ever since.
He blamed Bosnian Muslim authorities of being l
enient towards radical Islamists, saying many of
the current Muslim leaders were involved in
“importing” them to Bosnia.
“The issue of terrorism and the links of political
circles in Bosnia with organized crime and terrorism
is the number one question for the national security,”
Galijasevic said.
